Award winning Knightsbridge restaurant Zafferano is one of the hottest Italian restaurants in the capital

 

Opened in 1995, the Michelin starred Knightsbridge restaurant Zafferano has become one of London’s most sought after dining destinations, never failing to wow guests with its outstanding Italian cuisine. Zafferano has won numerous awards and accolades over the years, including Tatler’s 2009 restaurant award for “Most Consistently Excellent Restaurant” and of course, the coveted Michelin star. The dining room is an understated scene, with smart, stripy seating featuring both banquette and high back chairs and immaculate white linen topped tables with sparkling glassware and polished cutlery provide that typical upscale Italian dining feel. The food is the real showstopper at Zafferano though, where traditional Italian cuisine is the order of the day. Pasta has to be the star of the Zafferano show, they say nothing else in London comes close, whether it’s a linguine with lobster and fresh tomato or lamb ragu tossed with parpadelle, you are guaranteed the highest of quality. That’s not to say the other dishes aren’t world class too though such as roasted lamb cutlets and saddle with tomato and oregano or chargrilled monkfish with courgettes and sweet chilli. Italian cuisine is rarely this good outside of Italy, but Zafferano really know a thing or two about Italian cooking which is why it is not only one of London’s best Italian restaurants, but also one of London’s best restaurants.
