The legendary Veeraswamy has just undergone a stunning 80th birthday transformation, which has already won much praise from guests and critics. The UKs oldest surviving Indian restaurant Veeraswamy was relaunched following a total transformation. The trio behind Chutney Mary, Amaya and Masala Zone have restored the restaurant to the reflect the glamour and glory it exuded in the 1920s. A new menu of classical dishes from throughout India is now served alongside more contemporary creations. Moreish herb leaves coated in batter & deep-fried; soft & juicy oysters flash grilled & served with a feisty salsa; layered, buttery naan bread; slow-cooked, meltingly tender lamb cooked Lucknow-style; chicken breast rolled with pine nuts, lemon & rose petals – we'd recommend it all. Veeraswamy also offers a variety of seafood dishes from India's coastal settlements as well as a number of dishes not often seen outside India.
