Situated on Paddington Street, just off Marylebone High Street, close to Madame Tussaards and the Hellenic Centre, The Real Greek's fourth Souvlaki & bar opened its doors on the 31st of October 2005. Serving a delicious selection of Mezedes, freshly char-grilled Souvlaki, Salads and shring dishes, The Real Greel Marylebone is a fine addition to the busy dining out scene in Marylebone. The souvlaki concept encourages sharing and the narrow tables make it easy. Try hand-rolled stuffed vine leaves, crispy cheese balls with herbs or lightly-battered salt cod. Move forward from there to the souvlaki, or "the best kebab in the world" as they put it. Lamb, pork or chicken are skewered and grilled to perfection, then served with tzatziki and homemade tomato sauce and wrapped in Greek flat bread. Traditional deserts, including a glorious baklava, are a must. The Greek wines are a nice surprise. With its modern, rustic and intimate interior, mix of bench and low tables and relaxed and friendly staff, it's an ideal place to meet friends, visit after work and at weekends a treat for the family.
