The Prince Albert occupies an old Victorian pub nestled just north of the City in Camden. With a major focus on local produce The Prince Albert has strived to source all of it's ingredients from the greater London area since opening in April 2006. The menu is influenced by modern Northern European cooking and changes daily depending on supply. Expect to find the likes of Elwy Valley lamb shoulder, rosemary, shallot, confit garlic, aubergine puree and tomato, roasted asparagus, morels, braised guinea fowl, saffron crushed potato and brandy cream or char-grilled 28 day matured rib eye steak, smoked garlic pomme puree, roasted artichoke and red wine. The belief in local sourcing is extended to The Prince Albert's wine list which features English wines from the south east while more continental styles give it depth. The restaurant itself is an intimate 45 cover dining room with dark burgundy walls, an eclectic mix of vintage tables & chairs and blackboard menu displaying the daily menu. The Prince Albert likes to bring people closer to the food that they are eating and does this through fresh ingredients, a cosy atmosphere and a warm & friendly welcome.

Can thoroughly recommend this restaurant for Sunday lunch. Friendly and efficient service, combined with beautiful meats and a wonderful choice of fresh vegetables, which were cooked just right. Good choice of sweets etc. Clean and pleasant surroundings and family friendly venue. We'd definitely look forward to eating there again.<br />Thank you!
