The Hyatt is a modern building from the outside but step inside and you’ll be confronted with a glitzy and glam establishment. The Montagu is one of the hotel’s restaurants and serves classic British food in attractive surroundings. The huge open kitchen means that you can watch your meal be prepared and the chefs table complete with six hobs and none stools is a big attraction for those who wish to sample the taster menus. Little intimate nooks and a cosy fireplace make for perfect romantic dining and the views of the picturesque gardens are simply charming. Lovers of British food will adore The Montagu, and everything is cooked so well. Start with the wonderful seared scallops with carrot purée and salmon roe sauce, followed by neck of lamb, potato gnocchi and black olive jus or tiger prawns with garlic and lemon butter.
