Boasting a prime location in the fabulous Westfield Shopping Centre in London’s Shepherd’s Bush is The Meat & Wine Company restaurant, the flagship restaurant in the UK for the group of the same name. This smart restaurant is innovative in design, giving the old steakhouse style a complete update. Designed by NYC’s Jorge Castillo, the interior is a colourful mix of leather, wood and stone and has an African edge to it. The huge towering display of wine is the centrepiece standing at over 10.5 metres high and comprising of almost 2000 bottles. The cool bar area is designed in the shape of an African spear and can be found on the ground floor of the restaurant. As for the food, prime cuts of perfectly aged beef, tender ribs, succulent burgers and flame grilled skewers will get those taste buds tingling. There are a few interesting meats to try too such as kangaroo fillet. The fresh seafood is a great alternative to the meat dishes, with some outstanding dishes like the prawns in peri peri sauce. The Meat & Wine Company brings the steakhouse bang up to date with its stylish, colourful design and superb meats.
