Located on Battersea Rise in London, close to the beautiful open space of Clapham Common is The Establishment Battersea, an extremely popular bar and restaurant. Just like the original Establishment over in Parsons Green, the Battersea venue serves up an excellent menu of British food in smart surroundings. A large open plan lounge and bar with an elegant restaurant area the design has a British mountain retreat air to it, with comfy leather banquettes, cool cowhide chairs and funky tartan wallpaper as well as a huge antler chandelier. Outside the spacious heated patio is perfect for al fresco drinking and dining. Head Chef of Scott Tillott has created a mouth watering menu of British cooking, using only the finest ingredients carefully sourced from all over the UK. The prime aged steaks hail from the Orkney Isles and are spot on as are favourite dishes such as beer battered fish and chips or sausage and mash. The slow cooked pork belly with cockles, baby carrots, flageolet beans and salsa verde is divine. The dessert list is a British delight too with the likes of sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and clotted cream. Sunday roasts at The Establishment Battersea are legendary in these parts of the capital and are always a guaranteed crowd pleaser as are the superb weekend brunches. With a cool, laid back approach and a stomper of a menu, its no wonder that The Establishment Battersea is such a hit.
