Situated in the very heart of Covent Garden in the cellars of the old flower market, The Crusting Pipe is a traditional style London wine bar with a welcoming wood panelled interior and natural stone floors that gives a true traditional and cosy feel. It has a distinct Dickensian feel about it, with saw-dust strewn floors and flickering candles creating a truly memorable drinking & dining atmosphere. The menu at The Crusting Pipe offers hearty English fayre at extremely reasonable prices. Main courses cost about £9.00 on average and include seared swordfish, rib eye steak and traditional bangers and mash. Starters come at around £5 each and Scottish smoked salmon catches the eye along with buffalo mozzarella, vine tomato and basil salad. The Crusting Pipe offers a suberb cheeseboard featuring some wonderful British varieties and a choice of traditional English desserts including treacle tart and bread and butter pudding. Alongside the superb selection of fine ports, you'll also find sherry, Madeira & real ale as well as around 50 quality wines covering a diverse range of styles & regions. If you're lucky enough to get a table on the outside courtyard, The Crusting Pipe offers the perfect location for soaking up the atmosphere of Covent Garden Market's many street performers, including renditions by the cast from the famous Covent Garden Opera House.
