Currently the “in” place to dine amongst Old Street’s hip young things, Thai Thai is a charming London restaurant serving up deliciously authentic Thai cuisine. Ideally located just a short distance from Old Street underground station, Thai Thai has become the restaurant of choice for the area’s cool socialistas who come here for a bite to eat before heading off to one of the numerous bars and pubs in the area. The restaurant itself is a large space set out over two floors and also offers private dining facilities for up to 100 people. Red and vanilla tones contrast with blond wood furnishings and potted palms add a touch of greenery. The menu is a wonderful rendition of traditional Thai cuisine and dishes such as the crispy roast duck with tamarind sauce; grilled river prawns with spicy seafood chilli sauce and Thai Thai’s special pumpkin curry with a choice of meats all come highly recommended. Staff are really friendly as is the vibe. Thai Thai is a great little restaurant and it really is no surprise to hear how popular it is.
