Salieri Restaurant is on the Strand at the opposite Savoy Hotel and a few minutes walk away from the famous Covent Garden market & piazza. One's first impression of Salieri is the spectacular array of enormous pot plants outside this striking restaurant. The interior is equally compelling with decor of puppets, mirrors, masks, theatrical memorabilia and photographs. Named after the famous playwright, Salieri is open early and late to accommodate theatre goers, and the surroundings take the theatre theme to the extreme. While there are plenty of interesting things to look at, it's the food which ultimately steals the show. Don't be fooled by the Strand location, Salieri is neither expensive nor touristy. The restaurant is ideal for pre- or post-theatre dining and serves superb Modern European cuisine with flair and a Italian emphasis.

My boyfriend and I went to Salieri on Thursday 1st May, after we had seen Lord of the Rings. The service was excellent and the waiters very friendly. The atmosphere is lovely and the food was A class. We were made to feel very special and would most definitely return.

My boyfriend and I were given a free 2 course meal at Salieri for a birthday present and when we found out the restaurant was French we were a little hesitant that we wouldn’t enjoy the food. However after easily finding the place in the centre of London on The Strand we sat down a very very nice meal. The decor inside is a bit crazy but food and service was A class. The service was quick, (but not too quick that they just wanted you out). I had the veggie meal and my boyfriend had lamb both were fantastic and we cleared our plates. The puddings were amazing too. I would definitely go again.
