A real favourite amongst the local city types, Rocket – City is a superb Italian style restaurant offering well priced yet very high quality food to the City of London. This busy restaurant is found in a lovely pedestrian courtyard in the heart of the Square Mile, between Old Broad Street and Threadneedle Street and combines two cool bar areas, perfect for after work drinking, as well as a smart and contemporary restaurant. Set out over two floors, the ground floor bar is a lively space where workers gather to dust off the cobwebs after the office closes whilst the lounge bar offers a more intimate and relaxed ambience. Both areas boast a terrace, perfect for the warmer months. Upstairs is the glamourous dining room, with its polished wood flooring, contemporary décor and smart tan coloured leather banquettes. The menu at Rocket is excellent, serving up innovative stone baked pizzas that are absolutely huge as well as mouth-watering salads and grills and seasonally inspired main courses. The wine list has been very well chosen, offering bottles to suit all budgets and tastes. Rocket in the City is a fabulous dining choice, and it’s consistently packed dining and bar is testament to that.
