With its award shelf bulging, Michelin-starred Rasoi attracts gourmets and locals in equal measure to the smart Chelsea townhouse where it serves up chef-patron Vineet Bhatia's 'evolved Indian' cuisine. With a lush, colourful restaurant interior, Rasoi extends over two floors, with an intimate glass-roofed dining area and two charming private rooms upstairs. Having earned the restaurant a Michelin star shortly after opening in 2006, Vineet Bhatia's ability to merge flavours & textures with sound cooking techniques provides an unforgetable dining experience. Expect top creations like Masala foie gras (spice dusted foie gras, wild mushroom naan, lemon grass infused foie gras with raisin & cashew, spiced fennel salad) or the famous Rasoi platter (spiced home smoked tandoori salmon, grilled scallop, tandoori prawn, green chicken tikka, lamb seekh kebab and goat's cheese samosa) to start, followed by Grilled ginger and chilli lobster (spiced lobster jus, curry leaf and broccoli khichdi with spiced cocoa powder) or Lamb shank korma (slow cooked lamb shank enriched with morels, saffron mash and rosemary naan). The dessert platter at Rasoi is the best way to try a selection of desserts & the menu gourmand a chance to sample almosy everything. Rasoi is a superb addition to the Chelsea dining scene, but being so fantastic makes it a popular choice avery difficult to secure a table with short notice, so booking is essential.
