Nancy Lam's Enak Enak is celebrity chef Nancy Lam's fabulous Indonesian restaurant located in South London's Clapham. A family run restaurant, Enak Enak offers a homely setting with bamboo tables and chairs and batik tablecloths. The main dining area can seat 40 and a private area, separated by a pink and gold bar caters for a further 50. The staff at this inviting and unpretentious restaurant have a unique talent for remembering you name, very unusual, particularly in London, but very pleasant nonetheless. Enak Enak isn't a restaurant you'd come for a quick bite to eat, but more a place to enjoy a long leisurely meal with friends and family. Marco Pierre White is often seen here with his family. Don't be surprised to see Nancy Lam pooping out from the kitchen to chat with guests, who are more often than not regulars. The food is top notch as you would expect, with an Indonesian inspired menu to die for. Starter of chicken satay (marinated chicken cooked over charcoal served with peanut sauce made from scratch), main of beef rendang Indonesian curry and dessert of kueh dada (pancake stuffed with coconut, brown sugar and homemade sorbet) is just one combination to try. Nancy Lam's Enak Enak is warm and homely and the food lives up to lam's reputation in every way.
