Italian fine dining doesn’t come much better than Gordon Ramsay’s amazing Murano restaurant in Mayfair

 

Opened in 2008, Murano is Angela Hartnett's fabulous Italian restaurant in London’s Mayfair, where Angela Hartnett, one of the UK’s most famous female chefs takes the reigns. This superbly stylish Mayfair restaurant has wasted no time in impressing just about everyone and quickly earned itself it’s first Michelin star in January 2009. The setting is pure understated elegance with hand painted fresco wall panels in subtle beiges and whites and stunning glass blown light fittings which were specially commissioned for the restaurant. It is the food that takes centre stage at Murano, where the exciting and innovative Italian menu takes influence from Hartnett’s family roots. Be inspired by dishes such as caramelised veal sweetbreads, pickled quince, dandelion salad and a honey mustard dressing; braised John Dory, red pepper stew, baby fennel, mussel and tomato stock and roasted Iberico pork shoulder with pan fried prawns, grilled leeks and pork jus. Truffle lovers are in for a real treat with the special truffle menu. Whether you go for one of the amazing taster menus or opt for the a la carte, you cannot be anything but impressed by the presentation and quality of each dish. As for the wine list, a fine choice is offered and a wide selection of wines by the glass is always well received. Fine dining Italian style doesn’t come much better than Murano, a restaurant that is so very worthy of its culinary accolades.
