Stylish, contemporary Moroccan restaurant Mamounia Lounge - Mayfair is one of the most recent new additions to the thriving mayfair restaurant scene. Much care has been taken to decorate Mamounia Lounge in the luxurious style its upmarket clientele are accustomed to. In the evocative entrance lounge raw silk cushions colourfully line plush, low-level seating, and dimmed lighting, candles, incense and black and white photos of Berber people create a very warm space for chic laidback lunches and exotic evenings where beautiful belly dancers move rhythmically to intoxicating Arabic music. Downstairs in the restaurant, the menu majors on contemporary servings of north African dishes: briouat, merguez with compote of mixed peppers, steamed mussels in harissa-spiced tomato sauce, followed by a selection of tagines & couscous. Mamounia Lounge - Mayfair's allure is its luxuriously elegant décor that lets you retreat to the far land of Morocco and is the ideal backdrop for a formal lunch, business meal or a leisurely and relaxed repast. What a great find! Me and my husband went to Mamounia for a romantic meal there and it was wonderful. The staff were so helpful and sweet and everything we ordered was delicious.

Their fusion food is outstanding! I had a grilled squid and chorizo salad that was to DIE for, and their couscous is second to none. Definately my favourite middle-eastern place in London.
