One of London’s finest restaurants, Le Gavroche – Michel Roux Jnr offers a culinary experience of a lifetime

 

One of London’s truly exceptional restaurants and the holder of two Michelin stars, Michel Roux Jnr’s Le Gavroche is an experience in a million. The flagship London restaurant for the highly respected Roux family is found in the heart of exclusive Mayfair and is a classically designed dining room with a formal air. Expect the very best in every sense, from the white linens atop immaculately dressed tables complete with sparkling fine glassware and silverware, to the outstanding service at every level. Gentlemen are requested to wear a jacket at Le Gavroche, a sign that this restaurant has high standards and protocol, however there is no pretension here which is a nice surprise. Expect only the very finest, most stunning French dishes from the Le Gavroche menu, where each and every plate of food is a work of art. Perhaps commence with a lobster salad with mango, avocado, basil and lime and follow with roast milk fed lamb served with flageolet beans and a thyme scented jus. Round off with a bitter chocolate and praline indulgence. The wine cellar has a stellar collection of around 60,000 bottles ranging from the excellent to the astronomical. Prices are steep at Le Gavroche, but you really do get what you pay for at this magnificent London restaurant.

Le Gavroche is easily the best dining experience I have had. The mix of delicious unpretentious food, attentive but not obtrusive service and the welcoming ambience make this a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable place to dine that anyone would want to come back to again and again
