Le Caprice opened its doors in 1947 under the watchful eye of Mario Gallati, former Maitre d'Hotel of The Ivy. After closing in 1975, Le Caprice was successfully reinvented by Caprice Holdings in 1981 and became the legendary restaurant that we know today. Now owned by Richard Caring and managed by Caprice Holdings, the restaurant is a chic modern classic that has never lost its sense of style. Today, the restaurant is under the careful supervision of General Manager Nicholas Roderick & the menu is predominantly Modern European, but with a few unexpected twists. The main emphasis is on well-prepared modern, classic dishes using best quality, fresh ingredients. Whether you opt for Eggs Benedict or seared scallops, wild fennel and pine nuts to start, & Confit lamb shoulder with Parmesan mash and barbe di frate or loin of Deep-fried Haddock with minted pea purée, chips and tartare sauce for main, you can be sure of consistently high standards. Le Caprice London is one of a handful of London restaurants that boasts the kind of following that ensures packed tables at every service & like its sister restaurant The Ivy, Le Caprice has evolved into something of a celebrity hang-out. A top pick for fine dining, and slightly easier to get a table at lunch if you're willing to go late.
