Situated on the site of the 19th century post office in London’s harrow on the Hill is the Incanto restaurant, an AA Rosette winning Italian eatery. Housed in a beautiful Grade II listed building which has been lovingly restored, the interior features a striking full length glass skylight, sweeping spiral staircase, wooden beamed ceilings and smart, contemporary furnishings. The famous Harrow School is just a stone’s throw away. Incanto opened its doors in 2005 and in just one year received its first AA Rosette in recognition of its exquisite southern Italian cuisine and impeccable service. Head Chef Franco Montone jazzes up classical regional recipes to create an interesting Italian menu full of natural flair. There are so many highlights but the following dishes deserve a mention: homemade ravioli cups filled with quail, mixed vegetables and redcurrant and tarragon sauce, oven baked halibut wrapped in a potato crust with pea puree and a red wine and balsamic reduction and eggless chilli cavatelli pasta with borlotti beans and Romanesco broccoli. A real gem, Incanto is an enchanting restaurant that will have you going back time and time again.
