Imli Restaurant London offers a new experience for those looking to try the true taste of modern Indian food

 

December 2005 saw the launch of Imli, a new Indian food concept, set in the heart of the West End in London. Launched by the team behind Tamarind restaurant, Imli offers a casual dining experience, with innovative cooking that is both delicious and affordable. Diners at Imli are encouraged to share dishes which means you can sample a wide variey of flavours and get the chance to experiment with some of the more unusual offerings such as banana pancakes with savoury chutney, spiced fried squid & sesame garlic prawns to mention just a few. Portions are all perfect for sharing and the prices are some of the best to be found in London, with most dishes well under £5. Imli is a brilliant lunchtime restaurant, as well as a great place for after-work snacks and also offers some fantastic special offers, including a special 3 course meal with wine or beer for just £15. The traditional meets modern ethos at Imli also extends to the interiors, where the design concept fuses the simple elegance of modernity with the richness of Indian tradition, making this a restaurant that you simply HAVE to visit, as to miss this one would be a serious error.

I have been sick of eating sandwiches every day and a friend of mine recomended Imli and told me that they do great value and freshly prepared tapas style food.We went there and I must say that this was one of the best Indian dinners I have ever had in London. Great value for money for such a great food. I tried their lunch time NaanWhich, They have lamb,chicken or paneer Naanwhiches which are very diffrent from your every day sandwich. We are going back next week again.

Simply fabulous! Try the taster menu & add a few other delights from the a la carte menu - all delish & the cocktails are yum too! We are already going back next month!

Imli is one of the best restaurants I have been to since last year. The lunch platter at Imli is a bargain not to miss. I think the food at Imli is the best Indian food I have ever tasted. They have just added bar to the restaurant. They have great cocktail list. Last week I tried the Best Margarita at Imli just only for £5.50. The place is great and I will be going back very soon.

The decor at imli may look a bit spartan but the food is not. Great indian food - some classical and some dishes with a twist. The goan curry was as good as any curry in Panjim and the chaats were crisp and stuffed with flavour. The only gripe was that the portions are a little small.

Imli is just what Soho needed. A great restaurant offering unusual, well-priced, high quality Indian food. Forget the queues at Busaba opposite....this is miles ahead in every sense. Well done Imli!!
