Newly renovated by way of a tasteful recent refurbishment, The Fountain Restaurant at Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly provides a deluxe brasserie atmosphere, ideal for breakfast, lunch or pre or post-theatre dinner, complete with the addition of a cocktail bar (perfect for single diners). Combining an eclectic mix of modern dishes with a host of traditional British classics, The Fountain's menu includes a selection of seasonal starters, salads, fish and meats including the likes of Fortnum's London smoked salmon with lemon blinis or twice baked crottin de chavignol goats' cheese soufflé with tomato chutney to start, followed by Dorset crab with homemade tagliatelle with lemon, rocket and chilli or Goosnargh chicken breast with sweet potato purée and roast cherry tomatoes. That's not forgetting the long-established Fortnum & Mason's favourites, such as The Fountain's superb full English breakfast, or their justifiably famous Fortnum's Welsh Rarebit. In addition, the £10 corkage offer launched in the 1707 Wine Bar applies on a wide selection of wines from the wine department. With The Fountain being one of London's most famous & historic restaurants as well as being located in such a famous store, booking a table at The Fountain in advance is essential.* The Fountain can be approached through the Ground Floor Food Hall or directly from Jermyn Street, but before 10am, the Fountain can only be accessed from the corner of Jermyn & Duke Street.
