Named after the foundation year of one of London’s most famous stores, Fortnum & Mason’s 1707 Wine Bar is another fine addition to the store’s amazing drinking and dining options. Located in the heart of Piccadilly, the Fortnum & Mason 1707 Wine Bar is a superb place to dine in the capital if you fancy a light bite accompanied by a fine glass of wine. Situated within the shop’s famous Fresh Food Hall, the wine bar was designed by David Collins and is a stylish and luxurious setting. The menu is based on the foods from the Food Hall and encourages experimentation. Dishes are light and tasty such as the poached sea trout with Je Fortmum’s pork pie ploughman’s (pork pie, Montgomery cheddar, pickles, Jersey Royal new potatoes and chive mayonnaise). There is also a great selection of fine caviars. As for the wine, you can order a bottle of almost any wine from the adjacent Wine Department and corkage fee is just £10.00. Enjoy a taste of luxury at the magnificent Fortnum & Mason 1707 Wine Bar.
