Foliage Restaurant at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel London is a highly regarded Knightsbridge restaurant set in a beautiful dining room with huge windows offering sumptuous views over Hyde Park. Designed by the renowned interior designer Adam Tihany, Foliage is all about clean lines and geometric shapes, but combined with soft lighting, luxurious fabrics & rosewood panelling the restaurant is a true contemporary masterpiece. Head chef at Foliage, Chris Staines, invites diners to try four (three savoury & one sweet) servings of his masterful creations & it's very hard to fault any of the food. Expect the likes of artichoke, confit potato, black truffle & quails egg or scallops, cauliflower, ceps & sherry followed by Dover sole, burnt butter, cockles & dried grapes and hazelnut parfait, poached pear & coffee syrup for dessert. Since opening Foliage has quickly established itself on the London restaurant scene and deservedly boasts a Michelin star to prove it. Staff at Foliage are friendly and professional and whilst the dining room is very distinguished, it's very relaxed & unstuffy creating a very pleasant atmosphere for both lunch & dinner. Expect to find leisure and business travellers alike here as well as the odd celebrity, but most of all, those who are simply passionate about fantastic food. Foliage is an experience and a half, and we highly recommend this restaurant, particularly if you need to impress.

Foliage is a restaurant second to none. Excellent food, outstanding service & a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a restaurant for a special occassion, but one you'll remember with affection for a long time after. I'd recommend this restaurant to all of your readers.
