An authentic taste of France has landed on the doorstep of Kensington at Deja Vu

Déjà vu is a small, elegant French restaurant based in London’s Kensington where traditional French cuisine is the order of the day. This chic French eatery opened its doors to London in 2008 and hasn’t looked back since, attracting a loyal clientele of moneyed locals and aficionados of typical French cooking. Owned by Mike Condon, Stephan and Diana Cheung and Ian McKenzie, Déjà vu is all about offering the highest standards in service and food, and the team boasts a wealth of experience in the business between them. The dining room is simple brasserie style area painted in plain beiges and has a nice authentic French feel to it. During summer the small pavement seating at the front provides a great spot for some al fresco dining. Chefs Stephan and Ian have both spent years running kitchens in London and have created a superb menu comprising of first class traditional French recipes. Pan fried scallops served with sautéed wild mushrooms and garlic butter start things off nicely followed by a fine duck confit. Lovers of moules (mussels) will find three choices – a la Provencal, a la crème and classic – all delicious. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Déjà Vu is a welcome addition to the Kensington restaurant scene.
