Found on Poultry, just down the road from Bank and Moorgate, the D & D owned Coq D’Argent Brasserie & Bar offers a pared down version of the main restaurant’s menu, with Head Chef Mickael Weiss serving up dishes such as duck foie gras with vegetable mosaic and sherry dressing for starter followed by mains like slow cooked duck leg with walnut, apple and grapes salad or whole butterflied sea bass on a herb and fennel salad and rounded off with upside down cherry pudding with almond milk rice and warm cherry compote. The wine list is short but precise but the champagne is the principal choice at Coq D’Argent Brasserie and there is plenty to choose from. Drinking and dining in the city of London doesn’t come much better than this!
