Having moved from its original King’s Road location to the Fulham Road, just around the corner from the Stamford Bridge Football Stadium, Chelsea Kitchen is a legend of a restaurant in this part of London. There is no fuss and fanfare at this great British restaurant, just good quality, honest homemade food at more than affordable prices. Chelsea Kitchen has been serving the capital’s diners for over 45 years and although it moved premises in 2006, it still remains a culinary institution in these parts today. A wide and varied clientele fill the tables of this popular eatery, all there for some real home cooked British food that won’t burn a gaping hole in your wallet yet will leave you feeling more than satisfied. The décor is modern, simple and stylish and the dining room is surrounded by huge windows which light up the space. As for the menu, there is plenty to choose from with the likes of liver and onions with chips and veg, scampi and tartar sauce with chips and veg or roast beef all coming in at around £6 a go. Chelsea Kitchen proves that eating out in London doesn’t have to be an expensive affair and that quality never has to be compromised with affordable prices.
