The hip Brompton Bar & Grill is both an excellent Modern European restaurant and live jazz venue

Situated in the heart of Knightsbridge, one of London’s most exclusive areas, the Brompton Bar & Grill is a cool, jazzy restaurant and bar offering an exciting menu of Modern European cooking. Taking the place of the former Brasserie St Quentin, Brompton bar & Grill has already gained a loyal following since it opened in 2008 and is one of the neighbourhood’s favourite drinking and dining haunts. The dining room is a typical brasserie style space with white linen topped polished wood tables, a long row of banquette seating along one wall and a gorgeous zinc bar area on the opposite wall. An eclectic cartoon and modern art collection adds a quirky edge. There is also a cool basement bar where live jazz acts feature often including the Brompton Trio, Jackson Scott and James Mullen. As for the food, the menu is replete with delicious Modern European fare all cooked up by Head Chef Gary Durrant and his team. Check out the amazing Brompton fish stew, the signature dish or a perfect steak with chips and béarnaise sauce. Prices are pretty reasonable for this part of town. Francois O’Neill’s fantastic Brompton Bar & Grill is a breath of fresh air in Knightsbridge.
