Bistro One Ninety Restaurant has a well-earned reputation throughout London for fine food and an informal, lively all-day restaurant. Located in London's prestigeous Gore Hotel between Knightsbridge and Kensington, opposite the 'Queen's Gates' to Hyde Park, Bistro 190 is a bustling continental - style eatery & is renowned for a particularly strong line in pre-theatre food, timed to coincide with events at the neighbouring Royal Albert Hall. Combining French bistro chic with an eccentric British style, the interior of Bistro One Ninety is packed with personality – an eclectic collection of artworks in mismatched frames dominant part-panelled walls, while glittering chandeliers are reflected in ornate gilt mirrors. Bistro One Ninety Head Chef Malcolm Starmer ran Richard Corrigans kitchen at Lindsay House for nearly three years, subsequently working with Gordon Ramsey and Phillip Howard. His passion is for the freshest ingredients obtainable with due emphasis on wild fish, organic meat, strictly seasonal vegetables, funghi and garden herbs. Expect Marinated fishcake with poached egg, bacon and endive or Lobster with cauliflower panacotta, capers, raisins and chives to start, followed by Roast monkfish with Jerusalem artichoke, preserved lemon thyme and harissa or Leg of rabbit with broad beans, pancetta and marjoram. All this, topped off with the irresistible puddings for which he is famous, makes Bistro One Ninety a destination not to be missed.
