Chez Victor on Wardour Street , one of London's oldest restaurants dating back to 1901, has recently received a fabulous makeover and has been revamped and restyled under the leadership of the Biagio Group of restaurants to create the stunning Mediterranean eatery Biagio Chez Victor. Located in the heart of London's Theatreland, this wonderful restaurant is set over three floors and is full of natural light and space. The refit was carried out by Cristano Boarini of Habitat Italy who has cleverly managed to maintain some of the history of the building, such as the signatures and photographs of some of its previous clientele like Rex Harrison, Robert Redford, Liz Taylor and Richard Burton and Vivien Leigh which have been turned into bespoke wallpaper. There are private rooms on the first and second floor which are ideal for cocktail parties, meetings, castings and photo shoots. The kitchen at Biagio Chez Victor is heavily influenced by the Mediterranean, particularly France and Italy and offers classics such as seafood pasta Al Cartoucio cooked in parchment paper along with specials like sautéed frog's legs and calves liver with a white wine and onion reduction served with polenta or sliced sirloin steak with rocket and parmesan shavings. An extensive wine list has been complied to accompany such delicious food with some excellent French and Italian choices. Biagio Chez Victor is a stylish and contemporary restaurant that manages to maintain the charm and ambience of the old Chez Victor whilst standing firm in the 21st century.
