The Bavarian Beerhouse is the UK's only authentic Bavarian restaurant & offers a wide selection of German beers, hearty Bavarian food and entertainment in a rustic beer-cellar environment. The Bavarian Beerhouse restaurant & bar is located on City Road, between Angel & Old Street opened in 2005 & has quickly become popular with locals, tourists and expats, as well as corporate customers based in Canary Wharf and the City. Table service is provided by charming waitresses in their traditional Bavarian "Dirndl" dresses, allowing customers to relax and enjoy the friendly, authentic ambience. The food is typical Bavarian cuisine and includes the likes of Weisswurst - Bavarian white sausages, served with a pretzel and sweet mustard, Leberkäs - Bavarian meat loaf served with Bratkartoffeln (pan fried potatoes) and topped with a fried egg, Münchner Schweinshaxen - Roasted pork shank, served with sauerkraut and potato dumplings & Bayerisches Biergulasch - Bavarian-style beef goulash with a rich beer sauce, served with homemade red cabbage and spätzle (Bavarian noodles). The beer, as you'd expect, is imported directly from Bavaria as well as other regions of Germany so is absolutely first rate, particularly when served in the authentic 'steins', and there is also a superb choice of schnapps as well as the obligatory Jaegermeister experience. This is a great place to go for a lively night of eating and drinking with a difference. The Bavarian Beerhouse is truly international venue and a unique experience in London.

The Bavarian Beerhouse is a fantastic place for a party or simply a good night out with friends. I found the atmosphere superb and both the food & the beer authentic & well priced. Staff are really friendly too. overall a brilliant experience and one I'd recommend to all of your readers.
