Arbutus has created quite a buzz since its opening where owner/Chef Anthony Demetre’s menu has rightly gained Michelin star status

 

Chef Anthony Demetre and his partner Will Smith have certainly added a little quality to dining in London’s Soho with their fantastic restaurant Arbutus. This superb Michelin starred eatery has impressed in every way with its remarkable Modern European cuisine and has brought an air of excitement to Frith Street. Neutral colours and sleek clean lines provide an understated yet elegant décor where anticipation for the star of the show – the food – is felt at every table. Anthony Demetre’s outstanding menu features a Modern European cuisine of exceptional standards. The seasons play a huge part in the menu here to ensure the highest of quality at all times. Squid and mackerel burger surrounded by razor clams and parsley impress for starters followed by mains like pollock with macaroni, chorizo, octopus, piquillo peppers, capers and tomato sauce or bavette of Scottish beef with dauphinoise potatoes. The wine list is a joy too, with many available by the 250ml carafe. Prices don’t come cheap at Arbutus, but you can always catch a good value deal at lunchtime and pre show times. Naturally a restaurant of this calibre boasts a very busy reservations diary there fore it is highly advisable to book a table at Arbutus well in advance.

May 2011. Had a really great meal. Amazing flavours. Superb main and dessert.Very busy on the Friday night. But organised and good service (too fast if anything). Reasonably priced food and wine. Id go again.

Undoubtedly one of the very best restaurants in London. We've always had great food and service here and the price is always very reasonable considering the quality. Highly recommended

If you're looking for something quite special, Arbutus restaurant delivers on every front. The food is astoundingly good, wine list faultless and service and price both very reasonable. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this superb award winning London restaurant.
