Almeida restaurant Islington has an airy, spacious feel, yet whilst Almeida's design is modern, it has a classic, clean cut look with a hint of Parisian chic. The menu is totally & utterly French and both the quality & presentation of the food would be well received anywhere in France. All the French classics are on offer at Almeida, from delicious escargot & steak tartare to coq ua vin & chateaubriand right through to tart tartin & superb French cheeses. The wine list is equally seductive & completely French and service is very adept yet quite unassuming. This is definitely one of Islington's finest restaurants and definitely well worth the visit.
