Cool and contemporary lounge bar and restaurant Yellow House makes a trip to London’s Surrey Quays well worth a visit. Hugely popular amongst the locals of this part of town, Yellow House is found close to the shopping centre and boasts a hip post industrial style décor. The bar area boasts a wonderful log burning stove which creates a real cosy feel during the colder months and the restaurant offers up three different menus – the restaurant menu, the grill menu and the pizza menu. Tuck into dishes such as pan fried red mullet fillet with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and Bouillabaisse sauce grilled Scottish rib eye steak with hand cut chips and garlic butter and Hoegarden battered fresh sea bass fillet with hand cut chips, mushy peas and lemon. The pizzas are traditional Italian wood fired pizzas with toppings such as the spicy sausage with chorizo, roasted red peppers, chilli, tomato and mozzarella or the egg and spinach. Sunday brunch is highly popular and there is a great kids menu for families. Yellow House is all about good food, beer and wine and its buzzing ambience is a testament to that.
