French haute cuisine at its very best is what you’ll find at the two Michelin starred London restaurant Helen Darroze at The Connaught. Based in Mayfair, this absolutely stunning restaurant has gained numerous awards and accolades since being taken over by one of France’s top Chefs and really is a magical dining experience for any serious gourmet. Expect to be impressed upon entering this exquisite dining room with its stately wood panelled walls and beautiful furnishings by Parisian interior designer Indian Mahdavi. Art from the likes of Damien Hirst draw plenty of attention, but it is Darroze’s exceptional French menu that is the real show stealer. Inspired by authentic regional and seasonal flavours, Hélène’s cuisine has its roots in her native Landes region of south west France. Indulge in dishes such as roasted rack of sea bass in a crust of chives with white coco beans from Pigna, grenobloise condiment and capers from Panterella or pink roasted breast of pigeon from racan flambéed “au capuchin”, grilled duck foie gras, Brussel sprouts with bacon and an intense sauce with Mexican molle and for desserts a pear jelly with crystallised ginger panna cotta, a clafoutis biscuit and pear granite. The weekend brunch at Helene Darroze at The Connaught is highly popular amongst London’s dedicated foodies.
